PHOG Water harvests pure water directly from mountain clouds and fog with the mission to expand clean water access worldwide. Our water is obtained using an innovative, environmentally friendly technology that turns a previously untapped resource into a valuable source of premium water.
Cloud harvesting is a novel water collection technique that uses specialized nets to collect and channel water in the air. It requires specific geological and climate conditions, but in the right areas, the combination of low clouds and steady winds means that large volumes of pure water can be obtained.
Jeremy Blair first came across cloud harvesting technology in a Princeton University entrepreneurship class with Michael Thomas. An early version of the PHOG Water business plan ended up as their final project for the class, and since then, Jeremy’s been working with the team to make PHOG Water a reality. He graduated cum laude with a BSE in Chemical and Biological Engineering, and specializes in web and design, brand strategy, and technical implementation.
Michael Thomas graduated a Mellon Mays Research fellow and magna cum laude with a degree in Sociology from Princeton University. Michael grew up in Brooklyn, NY, but was born on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where the team developed their first pilot site. PHOG is in large part a product of his desire to foster sustainable solutions for developing economies. Michael believes in the transformative power of social entrepreneurship to embed the good we want to see in the world into our everyday lives.
Andrea Bühler was raised in Miami, Florida and born in Monterrey, Mexico into a multicultural family. She graduated in 2013 from Barnard College of Columbia University with degrees in Economics and Psychology. Prior to her involvement with PHOG, she worked at notable companies such as United Talent Agency, Vogue, Universal Republic Records, and Burson-Marsteller. Andrea joined PHOG in pursuit of innovative solutions for a more sustainable and socially-conscious world.
Water access and distribution is one of the primary challenges facing the world today, and we are committed to doing our part to address it. We are dedicated to creating clean water communities with people just like you, by sharing our knowledge and resources related to cloud and fog harvesting and inviting people around the world to be a part of the solution.
